Scholastic Book Clubs Marketing

Scholastic Book Clubs is a curated eCommerce shop empowering children to pick the books they want to read. It also helps teachers earn “Bonus Points” to help support them in getting books and supplies for their classrooms.

I worked on all aspects of design for Book Clubs, including product lean improvements and new initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships, as well as marketing design (social, emails, monthly site promotions).

Apple Rewards Page

The Apple Rewards program is a special program designed to reward teachers’ class orders. There are 3 tiers with different special offers for each tier: Green Apple, Red Apple, and Golden Apple. Once the teacher has signed into his or her Book Clubs account, we can determine which tier you are. In addition to sending “Apple-gram” emails with their monthly rewards.

Users needed a place where they could easily access the monthly rewards information/

I worked directly with the Apple Rewards Marketing Director and led the UX and design for the webpage.

Marketing easy share feature

Book Clubs wanted an easy sharing tool for teachers to send reminders out to parents of their students when the new monthly flyers were out, this was a concept of this new feature.

eCommerce Grade Page Example

Each Grade page was updated monthly to feature new books in the hero space as well as numerous segmented promos throughout the page. I worked directly with the merchandising team for content and created the monthly designs for each grade.

Sign-In Page Concept

I worked on numerous concepts for the landing page/sign in page, and how that experience would look like for Teachers, Parents, and all curious people with no prior knowledge of what Book Clubs is.
